Celtic Crap

We had our first official meeting since the Christmas break and we didn't suck royally! Wheeeeeeeeee! I'm so happy. We're still crap but we're pretty good crap. We didn't totally forget our songs and we even played in front of three people without it affecting us. All three were invited to come back any time and play. One knows guitar, one knows tin whistle, and one is learning mandolin. Anyway, we ran through every song and started a new one which we played rather well for never seeing it before. My guitar/mandolin teacher gave me and Patty a Christmas present! He gave us a guitar book with a bunch of reels and jigs and songs. I thought that was extremely sweet of him.

Tomorrow starts our drum lessons - I'm really excited and nervous because I have no drumming experience. But Patty and I will be in their together so that'll take some of the stress away. Also, disbandedtoastr andreddheaded and I should be in the community chorus this semester. I feel really out of place there, but I'm hoping I'll adjust. At least I have friends along with me. We're set to do some piece in Latin called Requiem (composed by a French guy named Faure or something) and Beethoven's Ode to Joy in GERMAN. Neither language I know, but I'm better with the Latin. Toaster swears it will be beautiful and fun.

You did great! I was very impressed with you. =o)
I am so glad to have another alto to sing along with. It's going to be a lot of work, but i can already tell its going to be worth it!
