you've got to start somewhere

Trying to clean out our refrigerator - but it's not happy about it. The light keeps going out and the ice maker dripped at me. Honestly, it'll be a lot happier when I'm done. It's reminding me of me when I was a wee little girl and my mom tried to brush my hair.

Plus my solution to "does this really need to go back in there?" appears to always be "oh, I'll just eat it."

Yes, I understand how that works. When TYG decides she's helped herself to more food than she can handle, I invariably finish it off (i mean, otherwise it would go in the garbage! And a kitten would cry!).

I have a slightly similar problem with John. He likes to try different flavors. So if he sees interesting chips or cookies or whatnot he'll buy all the flavors, and instead of eating one bag/leaving the others sealed THEN trying the next, he will open every bag at once to compare flavors. Then we have three or four open bags of whatnot going stale so a few weeks later I'm trying finish them all off before they go bad. (Or trying to give them away to coworkers/family.) He likes onion and other flavors I don't like - yet I"ll try to eat onion flavored chips as opposed to throwing them in the trash and making kittens cry. :( It's stupidity on my part, but I hate the waste.

I hate waste too. TYG will put out something the first moment she thinks it's bad, while I'll try to eat it just to get it used up.
