I got the best post card today! It is from the daughter of one of my best friends in high school (we lost touch but found each other again just last year on Facebook). They were in Mallorca and sent me a card.

"Dear april i'm in Mallorca!!!! i'v hab a grate time i'v seen meny grate sights like casols and (backwards)1 cathedrol. (heart) Talia"

HOW ADORABLE IS THAT?!?! I miss invented spelling. I miss working in elementary schools. Sigh.

We should all write more letters, too, darn it. It was awesome getting something in the mail. I need to write more. Last year I sent Talia a string of post cards from my cat. I had left over postcards from various road trips (Wisconsin, NY, TN, etc.) and thought "hey, what can i do with these?" So I pretended like Cassie was running away and I was chasing after her. Cassie was writing to Talia about how she escaped me and where she was heading next. I never knew if what I was writing was funny or stupid, but I guess it was okay since she sent me a card from her travels! Anyway, I need to do more stuff like that.

I think everyone should try writing more, we all love getting mail.

I know I've mentioned sending my grandpa post cards. Every once in a while I get a very short card from him, and at the end he always writes "Keep them coming". How can I not?

Mail can make all the difference in the world. There is something magical about finding something in the box for you. Other than bills.

I always have the best intentions. I've even made that a new years resolution before and I still to this day buy loads and loads of stationary and stamps - both for me and as gifts for people.

I refuse to make resolutions, I always break them so it's sort of a curse!

You've spent me more stuff than most people, so you are doing ok.
