At least there were no lobsters.

But we did find a giant snake skin.

Weirdest thing - Thursday night I was startled when pulling into my drive way to discover our garage door open. It really freaked me out because Monkeys wasn't home, and we only open that door when we are actively messing around with stuff by the door. Quite frankly, I'm embarrassed by our garage. It's really packed. No way we would have opened it ourselves this morning and left it that way. On the bright side it means I didn't think anyone could have gotten into the garage let alone our house despite the door being open. Still, it was really creepy. Did someone open it? Did something go wrong with the door? Could someone have squeezed through and gotten in the house? Is there anything missing? Would we ever know?!?! I went inside and didn't see anything out of place. I tried shutting the garage door, but the electronic button didn't work. I called Monkeys and he came on home straight away to check it out so that I could go on to choir practice. When I got back he'd manually shut the door. We decided that probably there had been some kind of power surge that took out our garage door opener and triggered the door opening in the process.

Friday Monkeys beat me home only to discover that our garage door was open again. Wah!?!? The button may not be working, but he found the remote and discovered still works. So the new theory is that someone on our block must have a remote similar to our signal. He shut it again and attempted to cut power to the garage door opener so that remotes won't work any more.

If it happens a third time we are going to the police station - which is on the corner of leading into our neighborhood - and asking their advice.

Meanwhile we are deciding about getting a new opener. I have other things I want to spend money on, darn it!

Ha!! I probably would have done the same thing!!

I wish we had a desk to blame it on and settle the mystery. :D

Weirdly it could happen that someone had a remote with the same frequency.... but how unlikely is it that this would be the first time that had happened? Unless you have someone new in the neighborhood.

I'd have kept the haunted dresser... but I'm weird like that.

Speaking of people being able to opening your things with their remotes/keys. Kenton's dad once left a grocery store, walked to his car, unlocked it and got in. It wasn't until he actually went to back up that he realized it wasn't his car. Same model, make and color... but not his.

Highly unlikely to happen.

I wish that I would have been brave enough to keep the haunted desk (or haunted remote) - but my mental psyche wouldn't be able to handle it. :D But I know in future to give it to you if ever get one!!

That's funny about Kent's dad's car key! That is really rare! Do you remember Monkeys & Rhonda's story about the car key prank on their friend's dad??

No I don't remember that story.

Lol! Now I'm the haunted item depository.
