Who Ya Gonna Call?

All right - this may be funny only to me...

I am taking a class on the Rosary that meets on Tuesday nights. Tonight one of our instructors was talking about the concept of purgatory and praying the Rosary in hope for the souls that have passed on and want intercessions to move on from purgatory to heaven. (We don't have that concept in the Protestant religion; I don't know much about it, so I was glad they started discussing it.)

In her discussion she mentioned that she occasionally watches a show called Ghost Hunters. She mentioned it in an almost confessional tone and stressed that she thought the hosts didn't realize what they were getting themselves in to. (I am looking at it in the way I look at Ouija boards - they are DANGEROUS because they open a door to things you can't control - so I am thinking she feels that way about the Ghosthunters hosts. GHOSTFACERS!!! WOOT!)

So anyway, she was talking about a particular episode in which a female Episcopalian minister called in the Ghost Hunters to check out her house for hauntings. They found a footprint burned into her floor. (Gasps from some of my fellow students.) As an example of how she thinks the hunters are misguided, my instructor says that her first thought about the burned footprint was it was the soul of someone trying to escape purgatory. My other instructor immediately piped up in response "A soul was trying to get her attention to ask for intercessory prayer and instead she called the Ghostbusters?"

GHOSTBUSTERS?!?!?!? I TOTALLY GIGGLED.
