I’m famous!!

I got an email the other day from someone asking permission to use a picture of my Nutrimatic Tea Dispenser (from Monkey’s birthday party) in their instruction manual for their product! I have no idea what their product does, but apparently there is something out there called TEA. So when picking his name the rationale went... The name is because it's similar... sort of... to an existing tool called "tea", and I wanted a name that reflected the fact that it was sort of like tea but not really, and also who doesn't love the Hitchhiker's Guide. I was amused that your object was based on the Infocom game, I remember that puzzle quite well...

Honestly, I did try to read his manual and played around a bit with it, but I couldn’t figure out the purpose and was a bit too embarrassed to ask. I’m not at all technoliterate. I am literate however, so I appreciate the pun! It’s a brilliant idea. I guess he must have been googling “nutrimatic” and somehow he stumbled upon my LiveJournal. Based on his fond memories of the InfoTech game he thought my silly little creation would suit his not-so-silly creation. So here’s a link to his device so that you can see my first step on the road to fame as a technical illustrator. Who’d have thought that, as Monkeys is the graphic artist in the family. Ha!

I am actually really honored and excited about this! LOL!

Obviously he liked it so much because of the knitting needle I shoved in the top of it to make it look like it had an antenna.

Obviously.
