My brain is all jumbly and restless. I can't focus on anything right now.
And my throat hurts and my stomach hurts.

What's the word that means using a lesser or more simplistic word in place of the more accurate and grown up word? Like saying my tummy hurts instead of saying my stomach hurts. It's not "sobriquet" - that's for people. But the idea is the same, I think.

We are almost at midterms for the semester. There are eight assignments for the programming class (plus 8 tests, midterm, and final) and I'm on assignment four. That amazes me. So far I'm doing okay. I have 100%'s on all the assignments and B's or higher on all the quizzes, so I'm pleased. I'm still intending to switch to audit because I don't want to bother with the midterm. Despite my good grades, I'm not sure what I'm learning!! I still feel like we are in the introduction phase and haven't really gotten to the main content yet. I think with this forth assignment it's about to change and get ugly. I answered all the questions/vocab, but the problems look scary. I have six parameter problems to do for chapter four before tackling the project for chapter five. I did the first parameter problem and sent it to my instructor to make sure I'm doing it right before doing the other five.I don't want to imprint the wrong way of doing these stupid things. If I'm doing them right, I expect to finish them tomorrow and start on the hideousness that will be Chapter Five and the Sequential Logic Structure. I think we'll have to write five algorithms and flowcharts for some yucky problems (calculating the cost of a sweater on sale was one of them). I am a little afraid to look at them.

I feel bad. I'm hungry, but I don't think I can manage anything. :(

I like the main actor in Life, he has a great smile. Ms Garrett (can't remember the actress's name) is in this episode and she is adorable. She is a tiny, old lady with a GIANT motorcycle gang looking son. When they stand side-by-side it makes me smile.

I'm so sorry you're feeling the sick. I just wanted to say I had such a lovely time on Saturday. I told Joe that even if he wanted nothing more to do with me, that's too bad, because I'm keeping his friends. ~noreen

Thanks for the feel better wishes and for friending me!

I read your comment to John because it made me giggle - I believe I said similar things to Monkeys when we first met.

We are so glad you were able to come over the other Saturday! I hope it happens again, soon. Monkeys and I are trying to organize a return trip to Tally - if the guitar shop ever calls about the uke, darn them. We want to do the Zaxby's night again if possible. We also want to figure out how to get to SoberChef's bagel shop, too, since we weren't able to make it there last trip. (She also makes excellent bagels...)

Thanks! I am feeling better today. I think I still have the sinus drainage blues, but I can eat better today. Eating is important! :) This headache is getting old. It needs to pack up and go home soon. It's probably the weather, as it's been crazy weather lately. It's hot then cold, then thunderstorms then sunshine. I can't even imagine what you guys are getting, though!

Bleah. Sounds like you had the same thing I've been fighting, only more stomachy.

Thanks!! I am tired of this headache.

I think yours is more serious than mine, though. I know you said you were starting to feel better and even made it back to work today, so I'm glad for that. :) Hope you get 100% better, soon.

Ok, so I'm sick myself and just skimming my friends' entries, but your line about food would help but it's beyond you . . . yeah. I get farm fresh eggs, fresh directly from the asses of my ex's chickens (he sells them at the farmer's market) and yesterday I thought I could handle making scrambled eggs, but I looked at the eggs and they needed to be washed before I could use them (ew!), and the sink was full. NO WAY I could empty the sink, wash the eggs, cook them AND eat them. So I went back to bed. Not having read the rest of this, I hope you feel better. Me too, for that matter.
