23 Years Later: Challenger Explosion

I don't have anything profound to say, but I didn't want the day to pass without acknowledging today. There are those moments in time that are so powerful your memories almost crystalize.

My god, but it's been a long time. Thank you for bringing it to my attention before this anniversary is over. I'll have a moment of silence later.

wow... I was living with my uncle George in Washington at the time.

I was at Choctaw. My guitar teacher looked a lot like Christa McAuliffe, so my strongest memory from that day is watching her sitting on her piano stool watching video of the explosion. She was just sitting there silently with tears running down her cheeks. My second strongest emotional pull is just the sensation of walking down the hallways and seeing television after television all tuned to the same image.
