Socks for Christmas!

I got about eight pairs of socks for Christmas!! They are insanely cool. I need to take pictures. I also got two pairs of converse hightops (one of them is more of a boot than a hightop).

Speaking of socks - in putting some of my socks away I discovered a pair of Alaskan moose socks barely hidden amidst the other socks. I can't believe I didn't notice them until now.

After Monkey's amazing dinner and the gift exchange, we sat down to watch Black Orchid. Mom and Dad actually really liked it. Turned out to be a good choice as it was more of a mystery than a traditional Doctor Who episode. (It was a birthday present from droidgirl's brother. I gave my mom season one of Midsommer Mysteries, so we watched those for the rest of the evening. A very nice night, indeed.

Meanwhile, I am obsessed with Word Challenge over on Facebook and do not see to be able to do anything else but play that.

He he... I have a feeling that the little moose that was asking about socks might have been talking about those ones. :D

I think there might be a few more moose hiding around.

I so totally got way more socks than you did, but mine were all Gold Toe brand black dress socks (which I asked for). I also have Peter Davison's autograph from the time he was at Dixie Trek. He was just trying to be relaxed and enjoy the geek love of two little fans who were nestled up to him on a bench, but noooooo... I had to wave my Japanese Modelmaking Book about Star Wars in his face until he signed it.

Looking back, I realize why he might have been annoyed.

Ah, well you win on the number of socks received. But I would definitely say mine are cuter.

Your Davidson story is awesome!! I can picture you doing that. :) I got to meet him at Dragoncon. I tried to be like one of the geek love little fangirls you describe, and I have a picture of me nestled up as close as I could to him. I wasn't as successful as the ones you are describing, though. I never made it as far as bench sitting. We took a picture, I declared my love for him, then I shook his hand and ran. I knew I was lucky to form a complete sentence and didn't want to take any chances of falling apart if I stayed longer.

We watched a 1999 British sitcom called Hippies last Saturday. Simon Pegg was in it. Either he had on a cute wig or ten years ago he had a bunch of red hair. Regardless, he looked a lot like you! Toater and I kept commenting on the resemblance. That is a compliment, by the way. He was *really* cute in the show.

Oh - back to socks... for no good reason I'm posting a picture.
Prepare your eyes for the cuteness that is my new socks -

In addition to the socks, Monkeys gave me knee high converse hightops. :)
I am going to be taking a picture of me in the boots, but haven't had a chance yet.
