TARDIS (Take A Room, Dip In Sawdust)

Monkeys has been working on the TARDIS since last Tuesday. Actually, it might have been before then. I have no idea what he's doing; all I know is that everything, including myself, is covered in sawdust. He canned-aired my laptop yesterday because the keys and trackpad were covered in sawdust and I was whining. (He could have closed it before he started, darn it.) Tomorrow night I am to paint the inside. This will be the only time that I will be happy the inside isn't actually bigger than the outside.

I really don't see how he can be finished and restore the living room back to any semblance of order in the near future.

Also, I can't tell what he's done! LOL! He's doing something to make the door tracks work better and putting in some shelves. Ultimately the Doctor Who figures (thanks Raven!) will be on one of the shelves. But, ummmm, right now it just looks like the TARDIS has moved from the corner to the middle of the room and left there.

oh my goodness! ... i LOVE what you came up with! "take a room dip in sawdust"
it took me a sec. to realize .... but i laughed my ass off when it clicked :D

also, i agree, it's WAY easier cover things up before you start wood work INSIDE the house .... and clean up is way easier that way
but if it's something you've been meaning to do for a long time and it's getting to you .... you just wanna tackle that shit right then and there ..... and end up making a huge mess that could've been avoided to begin with ..... but i have done it many times ... even though taking the time to cover things up is the smartest way to go

you're most welcome for the action figures
a little hint: put in some extra shelves for the next few years you might run out of space someday :D

LOL - yeah, I know I'm guilty of not properly getting stuff in order before starting a project. But it's still annoying to have sawdust up my nose. I got my first coat of paint on some of the inner shelves tonight. I'm going to maybe do a second coat in about thirty minutes. The actual TARDIS isn't ready for me doing the inside yet - but maybe Wednesday or Thursday. He painted some of the outside sides tonight, too. So it's looking better, but this is going to take forever.

I've also started importing ALL MY CDS. I've done three wallets out of six so far. The first three were traditional CDs (rock, country, rap, Latin, etc.) I'm on the T's. The other three are Beatles and Beatle-related (individuals, children, covers), Independents (Dragoncon, GARF, CD Baby), and Comedy/Christmas/nonmusic. But of course, I couldn't just let it be easy - I have created all kinds of little category playlists for no reason whatsoever.
