Mr. Work Work

Anyone else heard of a band named Irritating Rainbow? I love Mr. Work Work (mumble mumble talk talk).
Anyway - long boring post about work and school.

Registration is busy busy busy. The new programs are busy busy busy. But the diplomas are finally out in the mail, so I'm free of that for the most part until August hits, and we start graduation all over again. Registration and graduation always overlap. At least summer graduation is a smaller pool than Spring and Fall. Considering Fall registration is bigger than spring and summer, that is wonderful for us. The BS Education program has finally picked up, so I'm less worried about it running but more worried about me being able to keep up while staying accurate. And the BS Nursing program actually has an application now, so it's possible I'll actually get instructions and know what I'll be doing soon! Or not. We'll see... I've been told they have a cap on their enrollments, unlike the BS Ed, so at least there won't be as many people to work with. Maybe that means I'll still be able to keep up with the education and business majors.

In August we return to our normal schedule, so no more Fridays off. I did not do a single thing on my to do list for these two months. Instead, I hung out with my parents every Friday. But what's more important, right? Time with family or Spring cleaning? My parents leave for NY tomorrow, however, so this Friday I *will* clean out my closet AND make a dent in the giant pile of stuff that took over two of the corners of our bedroom. Wish me luck! OH - and when they return...cheese curd!!!! Woot!!!

One more class for me (I'm cutting the last class, since I'm auditing I don't see any point in taking the final exam) and two more for John. We turn in our last paper tomorrow. It's a classification paper; I grouped "Renaissance Festival patrons." I don't want to turn it in because I liked my last paper (it was the most concise and had the least number of grammatical errors thus far), so I'd rather end on that note. So far I've enjoyed all my topics: descriptive (Reddheaded's kaleidoscope), narrative-life lesson (buying our house), narrative-most embarrassing moment (Crotch of Fire), comparison (me to Ms Pacman), classification (Renn Fair). Writing teachers must learn a lot about their students; that has to be weird. Anyway, I signed us up for Cinema Appreciation and me for Tap Dancing for fall. Ha!

I'm hungry. I'm thirsty. I'm sleepy. I'm bored. I'm lethargic. I'm lonely. I'm procrastinating. I'm a bit down.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm ice cream.
I wouldn't mind some of that right now.
I've been eating tons of Sweet Tarts because they are nearby.

Your result for Fortune-Telling Test...

The Degenerate

After your ambitions flounder and die in the rarified air of reality, you'll turn to drink, drugs, and possibly bondage. You may get in trouble with the Italians for gambling debts or you may get in trouble with Neo-Nazis for being a sit-on-the-fence racist--you'd hate other races, if you could be bothered to do it. You're destined for the movies--low-budget, straight-to-video movies. Your career will have a significant boost after you become a Scientologist, but your inability to clear and become and Operating Thetan sends you into severe depression. You may try to breed cats. Oh yes, the cats shall breed, but beyond your wildest imagination. Your last words will be, "Fluffy, please, don't!"

You loathe this test. It's gotten in the way of your procrastinating pursuing your future.

This sounds more like *someone else* we know....

Your result for Fortune-Telling Test...

The Lonely

In your future I see a horrid possibility: you become a swirling vortex of dullness and cat hair. Everyone who has the misfortune of being sucked into your life is left devoid of the ability to have fun and breathe properly. You'll think your nine cats are the most important things in your world, possibly any world. You talk to them, but they prefer to catch moths and lick themselves. You'd be wise to pursue your spiritual side: it's almost as if religions were tailor-made for you. However, people were not; they'll reject you and your stupid cats. Wandering as a preacher-minstrel, you'll die in a knife fight with a gypsy.

You hate this test so much. It's wasted your time.

Hey! I *am* a swirling vortex of dullness and cat hair! Cool!!!
LOL! Whoever created this quiz has a slight cat obsession.

Knife fight with a gypsy, huh? We'll have to keep you away from LLL at dinners from now on!

Is cassie in any way part Gypsy?
She's got paws full of knives, and if anybody wants me dead, it's her.

this whole year i think most of have played "catching up"
if it wasn't one thing it was another
right now i'm having some serious catch up issues
issues at my restaurant job with timing
juggling two jobs isn't exactly fun
haven't even TOUCHED my dragon con costumes
this whole trip to canada really took more out of me than i thought, i told my mom from now on i'm not visiting for two weeks at a time, it's just TOO much to catch up on when i get back
as a punishment i may have to go more often during the year but only for a week at time

trust me, i feel your pain, don't feel bad about procrastinating, we're all guilty of that
can't wait for this year to be over and hopefully improve some!

yeah - i can't wait for everyone's lives to settle down a bit. it seems like most of us are having wonky years so far.

is it harder to juggle two jobs than to juggle work and school? i seriously can't wait for all that to settle down for you. you've been running yourself ragged for quite some time now.

have i mentioned enough times that i'm glad you are safe home from Cananda!!
which reminds me, let us know when Rowan makes it back safely to TX :)

yay Tap!!!

i'm so nervous. i'm not sure what to expect, and i'm not overly graceful, so i'm not quite sure what i'll be doing - LOL. one of my coworkers is doing it with me, however, so we'll support each other. :)

what kind of stuff do you think i'll need? i'm sure tap shoes, but i don't know if there's anything else needed. heck, i'm not even sure where to go to buy tap shoes!

I have missed every episode of SYTYCD because of class :(
