When We Left Earth - starting now :)

Yay! Now, let's see if Jedi Joe shows up again and makes me miss the second half. (Said with love and a smile, I swear ;)

As much as mankind makes me mad sometimes with the jealousy and selfishness and greed and stupidity that exists, when you see shows like this I'm put right back in awe of what we can accomplish and how much we have to be proud of. (And how you can fly a space ship put together with duct tape.)

Oh, I love that. This is one of the reasons Connections resonated with me so much. the amazing fact that we MADE IT TO THE FREAKING MOON!!!!!!

And we're going back. Woohoo!!!!! Even if my fat tuchus never gets off the ground, the dreams still fly.

Hey! I have the book Connections and started reading it but put it down for Wodehouse and Numbers. If you wish to borrow it after Radioactive Boy Scout let me know. I'm not sure about Burke's writing style in this book - it's a bit textbook for me - but maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. I'm going to try it again after a few more books on my list. The only other Burke book I read was Circles, which I did like. It; however, was a series of short essays and more conversational in nature.

And YES we're going back to the MOON!! OMG!!! How insane?!?! And to MARS!!! WOOOOT!!! How can we do that?!?!? What a piece of work is man!!!!! Yay!!! I think my tuchus will probably never get that far off the ground, either, but my brain is there!!! Squeeeee! *joins in the spacefan jig*
