Ice Cream

My husband rocks - he bought me my own little container of Ben & Jerry's ice cream:

Imagine Whirled Peace featuring Caramel & Sweet Cream Ice Creams Swirled with Fudge Peace Signs & Toffee Cookie Pieces. It's their John Lennon tribute flavor.

How amazing that it has everything I totally love (caramel, sweet cream, toffee, chocolate) and nothing I hate (nuts, nuts, nuts).

Sheer happiness.

Yeah, that flavor is a winner. I"m also really fond of Vermonty Python.

I bought a pint of this new Häagen-Dazs flavor for my wife the other day. It is scary good.

ice cream :)
I got Vermonty Python for my husband and he ate the whole thing before I got to try it - LOL! So I made him buy another one and swear to share it. We actually saved the container (washed it, of course) and have it sitting with our Python collection of books and memorabilia. We also got the Steven Colbert flavor just because it was Steven Colbert :)

French sea salt accents - I'm having trouble imagining that. I do know I frequently crave salt after something sweet and vice versa. And I do like dipping my McDonalds fries into my Caramel sundae so I'm sure this is good. But when you read the description it just sounds odd.

I'm going to have to look for it!!! :)

Re: ice cream :)
Salt and chocolate is the bomb. I suppose the most easily accessible form is chocolate covered pretzels. You can often find Fleur de Sel caramels at the specialty chocolate stores.

Then, of course, there is this (chocolate bar with smoked bacon and smoked salt).

I love bacon dipped in maple syrup with my pancakes so I would try the bacon chocolate bar :)

I can't believe I didn't think of chocolate covered pretzels. For heaven's sake, I make those for everyone at Christmas time to go along with their regular gifts. (They are so easy and so pretty yet still give the illusion you spent time and made a more personal present.)

We have no specialty chocolate stores around here. But I'm sure the ice cream will be in Publix so I will probably be getting that next time despite my diet - lol :)
