Happy Solstice :)

I just sent out 67 Christmas cards! I have four more on the table waiting for John to sign and about another 10 or so to go. Yay! It'll be the first time in years that the majority of my cards were in the mail before Christmas. Usually, if I get them out, it's sometime in January. :)

Tonight we're doing Christmas exchange with our friends while watching Hogfather. Last Saturday was our Gingerbread party and I'm supposed to have disks of picture for everyone. But I just now remembered that so I guess I should get off here and try to get that started before we head out to the movies!!

We're seeing I am Legend. I keep forgetting it's a Will Smith movie and flashing back on that Tom Cruise movie. This should be interesting.

I am jealous of you right now...I've only gotten about half of my Christmas cards out, and I don't think I'll finish the rest before the Big Day! Ah well, I guess it's New Years' cards this year for me! LOL

Merry Christmas!!!

I love New Years Cards! It makes the Christmas season last a bit longer :)

And I was really super bad and didn't do cards at all last year so I HAD to get them out this year. I'm out of newsletters, though, and my printer is broken so I'm afraid my last 10 or 15 will just be cards. :) If you want one, send me your address! madladyred @ cox . net

Good luck with yours!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I actually got all of my cards out and this is the first time I've ever sent any. But.... damn 67 cards??? I only did like 26.

Did you get yours? Because I found the newsletter for yours (I wrote Happy Yule on it) on the table. I was writing out cards and giving them to John to sign and add comments so I'm afraid when he signed yours he forgot to put the newsletter back in :(

I enjoyed I Am Legend
Tonya and I saw it opening weekend. She left a little freaked out, but I think that was the point! I that it was very well done and did an excellent job and keeping me on edge throughout.

Re: I enjoyed I Am Legend
Hey!! I'm trying to get John to create a picture for me over on the RetroMacCast network :)

John liked it (oddly enough, he also used the phrase "very well done" and I agree) and we both were really impressed with Will Smith's performance. I was okay with the downer theme, which is surprising because I hated AI for being so depressing. I thought they handled a lot of the challenging scenes really well (Sam the dog). I cried a little, which I hate. And I don't do scary movies well so I had my eyes shut through a bunch of it!!And a screamed a few times. That was embarrassing :) So I haven't decided yet if I liked it.

Our friend magnet5 had read the book so afterwards he talked about all the changes. And two other friends had seen other versions of the movie (Vincent Price's Last Man on Earth and Charlton Heston's The Omega Man) so they had interesting comments as well. I'm interested in seeing some of the other versions and seeing how my opinion chages.
