Yeah, okay. Misuse of Elton John song but he misspelled "all right" so he started it. And Ave doesn't sing that particular song, but they do know an Elton John song, I think. Anyway, I went out to hear Ave play last Friday and managed to not get the buffet. That's hard to do in an Brazialian restaurant! But that's not the important part. The important part is Ave. Their first set, awesome as always, was made up of songs I'd heard them sing before. I could hear them a million times and always be excited about it, though. Plus, they did a special request for me - yay!! But their second set was a surprise... they performed all new songs, with BOTH of them on guitar (usually Chandler plays guitar and Toast sings/percussion), Chandler actually sang a song, and most amazingly they did it at my table!!! SO INSANELY COOL!

I need to get on their website and leave them a comment but haven't had a chance yet :)

Went to the Brazilian Secret Cafe today and i will have to write more about it BUT in summary...

1) Ave did an amazing job
2) they still owe me two Beatles songs
3) I GOT TO PLAY THE SHAKEY EGG WITH THEM (on All of Me and on The Girl From Ipenema)
4) there were two adorable children that danced along with All Of Me. they had little wooden blocks and they were clapping them together with the songs. and whenever Toaster stopped singing they would stop dead in their tracks and stare with huge Brazilan eyes IMPLORING the music to start up again. Toaster, at one point, exclaimed "play something else, i can't take it!!" in response to their rivetted gaze -as she and Chandler frantically tore through their music sheets looking for another fast song to appease them.

they were probably one and three and they spoke NO English. OMG sooooooooooooooo cute!!!
