Really long post, actually. I need to keep a regular diary for this kind of stuff.

Wednesday 9/1/10 Already wrote about how busy I was running errands!!

Thursday – Tuesday 9/2-7/10 DRAGONCON!!! Which I have been attempting to write about, but it’s impossible to capture/remember enough to do it justice.

Wednesday 9/8/10 Dragoncon recovery (laundry/unpacking/etc) while battling Con Crud after full day of work trying to catch up on the piles on my desk! I’m counting this as an activity instead of a free night because it was exhausting as opposed to restorative.

Thursday 9/9/10 Choir Practice skipped due to illness; mustered enough energy to make up bed and do some cleaning for our visitors. Again, counting this as an activity.

Friday, Saturday & Sunday 9/10-12/10 Kenton & Sarah visiting!!!! Woot!!

Monday 9/13/10 Night Class: A History of Christianity After the Reformation – which runs from 6:30 to 9:10. It’s pointless to drive 20 minutes home and 20 minutes back to campus, so I stay on campus until class. When I get home I catch the end of Castle and go to bed, so it takes my whole evening.

Tuesday 9/14/10 Cleaned up house from company  Although this wasn’t particularly difficult as they are incredible guests and tend to clean up after themselves – including washing the bedsheets, which we found in the drier ready for us! Still, I’m counting it as an activity because I scheduled for it.

Wednesday 9/15/10 ???!!! This may have been a free night! I can’t remember anything in particular happening. Monkeys and I were still a little sick, so I’m guessing we rested or did light housework. (Or Farmville. Which I am now counting as housework.)

Thursday 9/16/10 Dentist appointment/took the entire day off since it’s in a different city and used the balance of the day to run errands and spend time with Mom. That evening was Choir Practice. I have Choir Practice every Thursday from 6:45 to 8:15is (plus a 15 to 30 minute drive to church depending on traffic) so it takes the majority of my evening.

Friday 9/17/10 ???!!! Again – this may have been a free night! Except I’m sure Monkeys and I spend the night cleaning since we were having company the next day.

Saturday 9/18/10 Destin trip with my parents. Church. Friends came over to hang out until the wee hours.

Sunday 9/19/10 Monkeys and I went to my parent’s house for his belated birthday lunch and cake.

Monday 9/20/10 Night Class

Tuesday 9/21/10 ???!!! Another free night?!?!

Wednesday 9/22/10 After work social at new school president’s house!

Thursday 9/23/10 Choir Practice

Friday 9/24/10 Meeting with friends and their midwife/birth team; Ran errands with mom

Saturday 9/25/10 Heart Walk on Campus; Church; Friends came over to hang out.

Sunday 9/26/10 Parents come up to our house to watch movies and have lunch.

Monday 9/27/10 Night Class

Tuesday 9/28/10 FACC Meeting; was supposed to go over to friend’s house to help with a project, but that got delayed until Wednesday so instead I did have a free night. (I did laundry and practiced cooking dishes I’d be responsible for as a part of the home birth.)

Wednesday 9/29/10 Drove to FWB to meet with my friend and help prepare for her home birth – mostly making cold compresses.

Thursday 9/30/10 Choir Practice

Much ado about alot
Methinks you put too much emphasis on "free night or not". Just let it be and it will.

In otherwords, don't stress over whether or not you "did something". If it needs to be done, do it, otherwise relax.

Re: Much ado about alot
It's the exact opposite issue - I'm not trying to fill up my nights, I'm incredible grateful for a free night. I would love for more of them to let it be. Somehow things keep happening. Next weekend I would be having to choose between or try to combine a family reunion, the school play which will be AWESOME and I really really want to see it, inviting friends over, or opting to "stay in" and relax. Only, I'm on call for a friend's homebirth (part of the team) so that trumps any other activity. So somehow there's just a lot going on right now. :)

(Lots of birthdays this time of year, too, I might add!!)

I am going to do my best to see the play if possible, however. It's the Illiad, the Odyssey, and All The Greek Myths in 99 Minutes (or Less!) How incredibly cool does that sound?1!?!?! The director said it's a bit like The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). If it's anything like that it will be hilarious. So depending on the baby, I'm going to try to go to one of the rehearsals and at least catch it that way. :D :D :D :D :D
