Pickles

I have jar of pickles at my desk for when I am hungry and want something low calorie . I just noticed the serving size is 1 ¼ pickle. Who eats 1/4th of a pickle? And what do you do with the 3/4ths left over? This jar is pretty safe; since it’s in my office I’m probably the only person eating from it. At home, anyone could have access to nibbled on pickles. AND once you have eaten 1/4th of the pickle and returned the rest to the jar, if a week later you fish out a partially eaten pickle how to you know if it’s ¾, ½, or ¼ its original size in order to know how much more of the pickle you can consume this snacktime?? That’s just crazy! :)D

Maybe if you get some little gherkins, and eat one pickle and one gherkin, it'll all balance out somehow.

Clearly they expect you to measure and cut your pickle into 1/4 pieces.

I've long believed the need to change the "serving size" into a more believable measurement. A 20 once soda should be listed as a single serving size... with the appropriate calories listed. Maybe if people saw it in print they'd be less likely to eat a whole can of pringles.

AGREED!! Drinks, too. I've been stunned after downing a bottle of juice or soda to discover I've drunk 2 1/2 servings in one sitting. Grrrr!
